Integrate Uber Health into existing workflows. Embed transportation directly into your organization's existing systems and workflows through the Uber Health API.

Here's how it works

ui-screen_1

Arrange the ride. Or let riders arrange their own.

Use the Uber Health Dashboard or API to request on-demand, scheduled, and recurring rides for others through the Uber Health dashboard or API. Organizations may also enable the ability for the rider to book their own ride.

ui-screen_2

Stay connected from pickup to dropoff.

Once the ride is requested, the rider receives a text or call with their trip details. They receive another when their driver is on the way.

Trip coordinators can track the ride in real-time and identify whether additional attention or intervention is needed. Coordinators can also share specific pickup instructions—like calling the rider’s name or honking on arrival—directly with the driver when needed.

RideCheck

Using sensors and GPS, RideCheck helps detect if a trip goes unusually off-course—such as an unexpected long stop or possible crash—then checks in to help provide support. Precise features vary by market.

Emergency assistance button

The in-app Emergency Button calls 911 to get help if you need it. The app displays your location and trip details, so you can quickly share them with the 911 dispatcher. In select US cities, this information is automatically shared with emergency services when you call.

Frequently asked questions

What is Uber Health?

How does Uber Health work?

What healthcare organizations are using Uber Health?

We collaborate with many types of organizations that arrange transportation for patients, caregivers, and community members to access necessary care. Customers include health plans, health systems, home health companies, nonprofits and community-based organizations, primary-care clinics, health centers, urgent-care facilities, telehealth companies, transportation providers and brokers, and centers of excellence.

What ride modalities does Uber offer?

Uber offers options for riders across a spectrum of assistance needs. UberX, the most common option, is best for riders who can get in and out of cars by themselves and without support. Uber Comfort⁴ provides longer wait times for riders who may need more time to get to the car.

In the Uber Health dashboard, coordinators can also request door-to-door rides—both for riders who are ambulatory and for those who use wheelchairs—with credentialed drivers who provide higher levels of assistance through a third party.

What are the features and benefits of using Uber Health?
