Use the Uber Health Dashboard or API to request on-demand, scheduled, and recurring rides for others through the Uber Health dashboard or API. Organizations may also enable the ability for the rider to book their own ride.

Once the ride is requested, the rider receives a text or call with their trip details. They receive another when their driver is on the way.
Trip coordinators can track the ride in real-time and identify whether additional attention or intervention is needed. Coordinators can also share specific pickup instructions—like calling the rider’s name or honking on arrival—directly with the driver when needed.

Driver screening in the US
All drivers must undergo a screening process before they begin using Uber and annually thereafter. This includes pre-screening and documentation, driving history review, criminal history review, and new offense notifications when available.
In-app Safety Toolkit
A dedicated place in the app lets riders and drivers easily access key safety information, quickly reach emergency assistance, and learn how to share their location with emergency dispatchers.
RideCheck
Using sensors and GPS, RideCheck helps detect if a trip goes unusually off-course—such as an unexpected long stop or possible crash—then checks in to help provide support. Precise features vary by market.
Emergency assistance button
The in-app Emergency Button calls 911 to get help if you need it. The app displays your location and trip details, so you can quickly share them with the 911 dispatcher. In select US cities, this information is automatically shared with emergency services when you call.
